DRIVERMAX & HYDROFIRE SAVE FUEL AND REDUCE EMISSIONS

Five Seasons Transportation Orders Additional Systems

RADCLIFFE, Iowa--(MARKET WIRE)—October 11, 2004--Mirenco, Inc., (OTCBB:MREO) announces it is installing ten more DriverMax® and HydroFire systems for Five Seasons Transportation serving Cedar Rapids, Hiawatha and Marion in Linn County, Iowa. Five Seasons Transportation has been successfully using Mirenco’s HydroFire and DriverMax® technology on its bus fleet since 1987 to achieve its goals of reducing fuel consumption and emissions while extending vehicle service life.

“Five Seasons Transportation continues to work with Mirenco because they are an Iowa-based company whose technology has helped us to reduce emissions on our buses and at the same time enabled us to run buses over two times their life expectancy. We also save approximately 780 gallons of fuel per bus per year using this technology,” said Transportation Director Bill Hoekstra.

Five Seasons Transportation was awarded two Environmental Excellence awards—Special Recognition in Air Quality and Special Recognition in Energy Efficiency/Renewable awards—by Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack in 2003 for its performance. They were also awarded Iowa Energy Leadership Awards in 1995 and 1990.

HydroFire is a patented alcohol blend fuel alternative. DriverMax® is a patented automated fuel management system that matches fuel flow with fuel demand to allow an engine to operate as efficiently as possible. DriverMax® was co-developed with the Department of Energy (DOE) by the same team that makes missile guidance systems. This technology was also acknowledged by the DOE as one of the “100 Best Technologies In The 20th Century.”
