Mirenco Holds Annual Shareholder Meeting

DeJong Named To Board of Director Position

August 22, 2001, Radcliffe, IA – Mirenco invited over 4,000 shareholders to their Annual Shareholders Meeting held on Saturday, August 18, 2001 at the Ames Auditorium in Ames, Iowa. Mirenco is a leading developer of fuel management technologies that focus on saving fuel and money, improving mileage and eliminating emissions from the environment.

Mirenco Chairman and CEO, Dwayne Fosseen called the meeting to order. Fosseen presided over the official company business, including the election and expansion of the Board of Directors to a five-member board. Fosseen, J.R. Relick, Jerrold Handsaker, and Don Williams retained their positions on the board. Mr. Greg DeJong was named to the new Director position.

Mr. DeJong is founder and co-owner of DeJong Manufacturing, a family owned contract metal fabrication manufacturing company, located in New Sharon, Iowa. He brings thirty years of experience in building small start-up companies using innovation, advances in computer technology, and family values. As an entrepreneur, DeJong has been featured in Business & Industry magazine for his use of cutting-edge laser technology in metal fabrication. Following the business meeting, a presentation by Mirenco President, Wayne Allison highlighted the accomplishments made during the past year, the recent advances in Mirenco’s technology, and additional markets for their technologies. Mentioned specifically were recent regulations imposed on the mining industry for the control of diesel particulate matter (DPM) in exhaust. Mirenco believes their DriverMaxâ technology may be a welcome solution for mining operations.

Those attending the meeting were able to view a recent Iowa television station’s news report on DriverMax and EconoCruiseâ, Mirenco's patented Satellite-to-Throttle technology using Global Positioning Satellites (GPS). In addition, shareholders were able to observe Mirenco's new-patented robotic arm, which will enable both electrical and mechanical vehicles to utilize Mirenco technologies.
